Our three-year RCI Group ESG strategy establishes a framework for the Group, setting out our standards, expectations, and commitment to leadership. Responsibility for articulating and implementing specific initiatives and targets, and the plans that are in place to deliver them, sits within each division.
This approach empowers the divisions to align with and be guided by the Group ESG strategy and standards in ways that resonate with their unique operational contexts and community needs. Through this approach, we drive meaningful progress, ensuring our ESG principles are embedded throughout the Group.
Our vision for ESG
We hold the divisions in our Group to the highest standards of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and governance excellence. With our support and guided by our principles, they embed sustainable practices, foster equity and inclusivity, and prioritise the wellbeing and development of their employees. By investing in their people and driving transparent, measurable outcomes that span environmental stewardship and social responsibility, they maximise their impact on stakeholders, societies, and the planet.
Governance and accountability
RCI Group’s Joint COO is the Board Member directly accountable for ESG, ensuring alignment with the Group’s strategic vision. The entire Board is committed to and actively supports the vision and aims set out in this strategy.
The RCI Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Committee oversees the development and implementation of ESG targets and initiatives, guided by Group standards and delivered through the divisions. Reporting to the Joint COO, the Committee ensures that appropriate systems and processes are in place across the Group to effectively monitor, measure, and report on ESG outcomes. This committee ensures that ESG considerations are embedded into the Group’s operations, risk management practices, and decision-making processes, driving measurable and impactful results for stakeholders.
Through a schedule of reporting and audits, we maintain transparency and accountability across the Group.
