RCI Group was founded with a clear belief: that health, justice and social care services deserve the same quality of leadership, investment and operational rigour as any other sector. Since 2018, we have built a Group that brings together specialist businesses, gives them the platform to grow, and connects them to deliver outcomes that no single organisation could achieve alone.

Founded

RCI Group established with a mission to build a purpose-led platform for health, justice and social care. 

2018

Mountain Healthcare

Acquisition of Mountain Healthcare, the UK’s leading provider of forensic healthcare and SARC services. Establishes RCI’s foundation in the healthcare sector.

2021

Communicourt

Communicourt joins the Group, bringing the UK’s largest team of salaried intermediaries that operate across the UK and establishing RCI’s presence in the justice sector.

2021

Venture People

Venture People joins the Group, providing trauma-informed supported accommodation for adults with mental health conditions and neurodiverse individuals.

2022

Prometheus

Acquisition of Prometheus, adding CQC-regulated complex care, therapeutic observation and secure patient transport across 80+ organisations.

2022

Marcus & Marcus

Marcus & Marcus joins the Group, extending RCI’s reach in specialist supported living for people with learning disabilities and autism.

2023

NHS Benchmarking Network & Elisian

The acquisition of NHS Benchmarking Network and Elisian brings 30 years of trusted healthcare data, analytics as well as workforce and case management software into the Group, forming our RCI Insight Sector services.

2024

OBH (Outcomes Based Healthcare)

OBH joins the Group, bringing population health management data services to the Insight Sector.

2025

NRC

NRC join the group bringing with them Unrivalled medical expert witness reports and services from consultants and specialists in neurorehabilitation to the Justice Sector offering.

Four sectors. 1,700 employees. RCI Group continues to grow through disciplined acquisition and organic performance, with a clear pipeline and a commitment to improving lives across health, justice and social care.

Our investor

RCI Group is backed by Literacy Capital plc, a listed investment company that takes a long-term, values-aligned approach to growth. They are also unique in that they are the only investment fund to have been set up with a charitable objective. They donate 0.5% of their assets every year to literacy charities in the UK, amounting to £13.1 million since Literacy’s creation in 2017.
